This is an incredibly exciting new role for a Head of Agency / Managing Director to join an established Dubai based agency who employ c60 staff and have a turnover of approx USD $5million.

A minimum of 4 years of experience as a business head preferred; The Managing Director is primarily responsible for managing all agency-client relationships. They also oversee the profitability of the agency and ensure the integration and process flow throughout Strategic Planning, Investment, and Analytics functions.

The Managing Director leads the agency servicing the client, and is responsible for consistency of product and output delivered to them. The Managing Director should have a strong understanding of business planning, integrated communications and digital/technical execution. They will drive an agenda of best practices sharing, innovation, and strategic thinking, via a clearly defined operating model, framework of thinking, and toolkit. They, in partnership with our client(s), will set this agenda and optimize it regularly based on business dynamics. Given the digital centricity of the agency, the Managing Director should have a strong background in digital media strategy and trading.

The Managing Director will play a key role in identifying new business or growth opportunities with for the agency. Additionally, it will be the role of the Managing Director to approve the key strategic elements of the agencies operational plans, and to deliver against business KPI’s and ensure client satisfaction.
From a strategic standpoint, key responsibilities will be to guide our account and creative teams ; support/drive development of key strategic partnerships and negotiations; drive key digital marketing and media agenda items including social, search, retargeting & audience buying, content marketing, and mobile/ IoT; provide strategic marketplace, industry, and category intelligence regularly; build/maintain productive relationships with marketing community leaders at client and key media partners. The Managing Director will also mentor mid-level supervisory staff.

Responsibilities:

• Designs/ negotiates scope of work and sets the staffing plan based on job requirements, past performance and future contingencies
• Manages agency financials and profitability, including strategic oversight of key trading commitments and efforts around regional visibility.
• Monitors, evaluates, recruits and recommends senior personnel.
• Develops and maintains senior client relationships
• Establishes overall strategic  approach on business and the implementation process to be employed, considering nuances and limitations of markets engaged.
• Directly responsible for overall agency output.
• Attends, presents and provides counsel at all significant agency-client meetings.
• Provides leadership when necessary in developing, negotiating and implementing creative communication solutions
• Confer with outside media agencies and 3rd party supliers to establish goals, objectives and strategies
• Continue to drive consistent process and approach to marketplace dealings and cascade to teams
• Participating in regular leadership meetings.(Board)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Director level candidate at an integrated or digital agency.
• Broad background, exposure to and experience in the entire research, planning and implementation process of communication briefs.
• Strong problem solving skills, authority in cross-agency cross-cultural situations.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (English)
• Detail oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure.
• Excellent Time management skills.
